Material Handler Position Available In South Central Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut

Material Handler Confidential Hamden, CT 06518 We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Material Handler to join our warehouse team. This position involves working in a cold storage environment, handling incoming and outgoing deliveries, and supporting inventory management. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to lift heavy items, and a team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Pick products from sales orders and build pallets for scheduled delivery routes Wrap completed pallets securely using an electric pallet shrink wrapper Stage finished pallets in the designated area within the cooler or loading bay Assist in moving pallets to optimize space for inventory and outgoing orders Load and unload trucks for outbound routes and incoming shipments Receive and unload vendor deliveries Verify delivered items against Bills of Lading/Packing Lists; sign receipts to confirm accuracy Maintain cleanliness of warehouse and cooler floors, especially at the end of each Friday Perform end-of-day duties including organizing and resetting workspaces as needed

Requirements:

Ability to perform highly physical tasks including lifting up to 60 pounds regularly Ability to stand for long periods (3 to 4 hours at a time) Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled cooler (as low as 34°F )

Preferred:

experience operating electric pallet jacks, pump jacks, and forklifts (Training can be provided if necessary) Ability to read and write legibly in
