Warehouse Distribution Associate North South Supply 3995 Dow Road, Melbourne, FL 32934 North South Supply, Inc. is a family-owned wholesale irrigation and well supply distributor. Founded in 1978 by Bobby Hiers in Vero Beach, FL, the company now has 7 locations throughout central Florida. Come grow with us! We are looking for a warehouse associate at our Melbourne, FL distribution center. This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday, 08:00 AM – 04:30 PM.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The ability to follow company Safety Rules and Policies Ability to be a team member working with others, and also as an individual Processing, packaging, and shipping orders accurately Organizing stocks and maintaining inventory Attendance Inspecting products for defects and damages Receiving, processing, labeling, and storing incoming stock Maintaining clear records on all inventory and stock Organizing the warehouse space Preparing orders for shipment Operating stock management tools (e.g. forklift) Counting stock and keeping inventory records Loading and unloading goods Monitoring product quality Tracking shipments Receiving and verifying incoming shipments
Qualifications:
Ability to lift 80 lbs. on a regular basis A high school diploma or GED equivalent Proven work experience in a relevant warehouse setting Experience with inventory software Gained skills in the use of pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks and any other warehouse equipment Capability to safely and skillfully operate a forklift Excellent working knowledge of warehouse data systems Excellent time management and organizational skills Physical stamina The ability to be a team player A valid driver’s license Customer service experience is often a prerequisite for warehouse associates required to communicate with vendors and customers
