JOB DESCRIPTION

The Warehouse worker at Phantom Fireworks is a multi-faceted position with responsibilities that vary based on the time of year which provides cross training opportunities across different activities. Phantom operates a safe environment with a focus on quality, and our people follow a team approach to completing work that is collaborative in nature. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are a must. The ability to work well with others, communicate with multiple teams, and follow instructions correctly is also a must. This position is temporary and will end following the 4th of July. There is a possibility of transitioning to a full time position, with higher pay, based off work performance this season.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Receiving Prepares receiving dock for container arrivals to ensure that it is neat and orderly in advance of delivery. Ensures that crew personnel have all tools and equipment needed to unload containers safely and efficiently. Communicates with Receiving Department leadership on product or packaging irregularities as necessary (wetness, damage, etc). Completes all required paperwork as needed to ensure proper inventory control and recordkeeping. Assists with warehouse floor cleanup activities following container receipts. Shipping Case picking products by pick ticket with quantities, labels, and size parameters prior to loading on trucks. Must have an ability to get in and out of tractor trailers Completes all required paperwork and ensures that shipping procedures are followed at the dock. Communicates with leadership when non-conforming shipments require modification. Works cooperatively with shipping teams to ensure proper inventory management practices. Safety Follows all rules and policies to ensure the safety of teammates, delivery drivers, and visitors. Provides suggestions for safety improvements as they arise. Ensures good housekeeping practices are followed at all times to avoid near misses and potential hazards.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be at least 18 years of age and pass a background check. HS diploma or equivalent. Interest and ability in a full-time hourly position, with potentially heavy involvement required in the weeks leading up to July 4th. Out of Season hours (for the weeks outside of May, June, and early July) are 8AM-4:30PM Mon-Fri. In-Season hours are extended with overtime opportunities available and required for some evenings and weekends based on sales those weeks. Ability to function in a non-smoking facility with limited breaks.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

As typical of a warehouse environment, the position requires long periods of standing, walking, and light lifting/moving of product up to 40 lbs in weight. As typical of a warehouse environment, the position is indoors but also subject to dust and the normal temperature fluctuations representative of Florida.
