WAREHOUSE AUDIO TECH JOB DESCRIPTION
The Warehouse Audio Tech is essential to ensuring that audio equipment is thoroughly inspected, tested, and maintained after each event. Working closely with the Lead Warehouse Audio Tech, this role focuses on quality control, inventory management, equipment preparation, and ensuring the Excellence of all audio gear. The technician will contribute to the success of each project by maintaining an organized and safe workspace, demonstrating a strong commitment to both Safety and Service, and consistently exhibiting Endurance through various tasks and challenges. Responsibilities Audio Equipment Check-in & Quality Control Check in audio equipment returning from events, utilizing Flex Rental Solutions Software to inventory and track all items accurately. Test all returned equipment to ensure it is in full working order and verify that all components are accounted for with no damage, upholding the highest standards of Excellence. Identify and repair or replace any damaged or missing equipment, and report issues promptly to the Lead Warehouse Audio Technician and/or Audio Director, ensuring that all problems are resolved quickly and efficiently. Ensure that all equipment is properly prepared and organized for the next show, including checking that all necessary components, cables, and accessories are included, ensuring that everything is complete and functional. Remove old tape and labels from previous shows to ensure that all gear is properly prepared for the next event, maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Maintenance, Repairs & Organization Regularly maintain and inspect all audio equipment, ensuring that all items are in good condition and meet the company’s Excellence standards. Assist in repairing damaged audio equipment and conducting any necessary adjustments, ensuring that repairs are completed safely and to a high standard. Maintain a clean and well-organized audio department, keeping tools and equipment neatly stored and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. Team Collaboration & Communication Work closely with the Lead Warehouse Audio Technician and the Audio Director, ensuring smooth communication across teams to address any concerns and improve workflow. Participate in daily briefings and ensure the department remains aligned with schedules and project goals, consistently demonstrating Service in meeting the needs of the team and clients. Provide proactive feedback and suggest improvements to processes and equipment management, contributing to the growth of the department and ensuring Excellence. Requirements and Skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot issues and resolve them efficiently, ensuring no equipment is missed and all tasks are completed with the highest standards of Excellence. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations, exhibiting Endurance to meet deadlines and adapt to the fast-paced nature of the job. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality or safety, ensuring that each task is executed efficiently and safely. Excellent communication skills, facilitating smooth collaboration with other team members and departments to maintain a professional and safe environment. Organized and professional, with the ability to maintain an orderly workspace and stay focused on tasks even during high-pressure periods. Degree or certification in Audio, or equivalent knowledge in the live sound industry. A passion for live sound production and a desire to grow professionally in the field of audio engineering. Demonstrated strong organizational skills and the ability to stay organized during high-volume periods. Certifications applicable to the live sound industry, including but not limited to safety and operational certifications. Knowledge of lighting, video, rigging, and staging equipment is beneficial. Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, climbing, and carrying equipment.
