The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently unloading shipments, ensuring that products are handled with care, and maintaining an organized work environment. This role is crucial in supporting our shipping and receiving operations, contributing to the overall efficiency of our warehouse. Responsibilities Unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers, ensuring all items are accounted for. Sort and organize products based on established warehouse procedures. Utilize equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks to move items safely within the warehouse. Assist in the order picking process by preparing items for shipment according to customer specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the unloading area to promote a safe working environment. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and address any operational challenges. Perform routine inspections of unloading equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues. Requirements Previous experience in shipping and receiving or as an order picker is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus. Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Ability to operate forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks safely. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Physical stamina to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
