Position:
Material Coordinator Support Location:
Building 919, Langley St., Navy Region Southeast, Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, FL 32212-0102.
Work Hours:
The Contractor shall provide continuous service from 0600-1500, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays The workday shall be comprised an 8-hour shift.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Task involves 100% work in a warehouse environment.
Salary:
$24.72 hourly
Mandatory Qualifications:
Knowledge in receipt processing, shelf life, hazardous material handling, and posting of receipt material into Government-provided computer. The Contractor shall ensure contract personnel possess a Forklift (3 ton) license. The employee annual renewal and refresher training is the responsibility of the Contractor. In addition, the contract personnel will on occasion have to drive a vehicle up to 5-ton. There is no requirement to have a specialized license. Possess an understanding of the establishment’s Commander, Navy Region Southeast storage plan.
Tasks:
Route and track incoming cargo and freight shipments whether from airline, train or truck terminals, and shipping docks. Examine and verify materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents and requisitions. Note and report discrepancies, deterioration, and obvious damages. Route, store, and palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage locations. Review requirements and requisition materials. Review reports and work orders to determine types, quantities, and availability of required material and priority of customer requests. Schedule and confer with the department supervisor to determine material required and ensure receipt dates are not overdue. Locate and move materials, parts, and assemblies between work areas and establish delivery schedules according to priorities and anticipated availability. Expedite processing, when required. Remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment. Sort cargo according to its destination Keep records of any missing or damaged items, any excess supplies, outbound shipment deliveries, and when required obtain the recipient’s signature. Deliver letters, important business documents, and packages to customers. Anticipated that approximately 10,000 warehouse support actions will be performed. Provide after-hours support for time-sensitive requirements that require immediate action. The Contractor shall provide up to 1% additional hours which will be accomplished outside normal working hours at no additional cost to the Government. The Contractor shall report additional hours worked to the COR monthly. Must keep his/her office and work area in a clean, presentable, safe condition at all times.
