Summary/Objective Ensure all Amports safety regulations and Port regulations are met by personnel in the yard. Knowledgeable about the yard and have a great understanding of each staging location. Ensure rules and regulations are being met regarding pitch and take-away operations. Understand safety regulations and SOP (Standard Operation Procedure) damages. Essential Functions + Ensure all Amports safety regulations and port regulations are met by personnel in the yard. + Maintain yard training log on all current and new employees. + Knowledgeable about all areas/locations in the yard. + Understand pull tags and correctly match VIN to the correct vehicle. + Understand SOP for damages. + Understand pitching and takeaway. + Locations with scanner placement for each vehicle in staging area. + Receive exports and import upon arrival. Competencies + Effective communicator in listening, writing, and verbal. + Must be detail oriented. + Ability to solve problems. + Ability to work as a team. + Ability to organize and prioritize competing responsibilities. + Punctual and dependable person. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct reports. Work Environment Outdoors exposed to changing and/or extreme weather conditions (for instance, rain, sun, snow, wind, humidity, etc.). Physical Demands Moderate physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative or production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday on a day shift. This position often requires overtime. Travel This position does not have any travel requirements. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Education and Experience One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.
