Dock Worker Waylanders Delivery Midway, FL 32343 Job Description Responsibilities of this position include the following: Ability to load, unload, and move freight of at least 75 lbs in a fast pace environment Reads manifests or follows oral instructions to ascertain freight to be moved. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets by hand. Loads materials into vehicles and installs bracing, rope, or dunnage to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Counts, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on control copy and manifest. Stack Product in chronological order for shipping routes Loads truck for local drivers. Lifts heavy objects by hand or with pallet jacks or hand trucks and cleans work area. Operates forklift (after being certified) to assist in loading or moving materials and products. Assist in sorting and organizing of freight Assist a dedicated driver in providing excellent customer service and safely delivering merchandise to the end user. Ability to use provided equipment to protect and safely deliver merchandise without causing property damage Help drivers complete deliveries with varied service levels including the following: delivery to the door, threshold deliveries (through the door), room of choice deliveries, and full white glove deliveries with assembly To complete and assist with all deliveries To effectively communicate with management All other duties that are assigned

Required Work Experience:

Preferred background in furniture or home appliance delivery or warehousing Preferred, but not needed a minimum of 2 years commercial driving experience with references of equipment driven

Skills and Requirements:

Ability to pass a 50 state criminal background check Must pass a drug test Must have a valid drivers license 19 years of age or older Flexible and ability to adjust to situations that present themselves daily Mechanically inclined Technical requirements for updating route software and ensuring all delivery paperwork is filled out correctly

Education:

Completion of High School diploma or
