Warehouse Associate 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 3950 W Hwy 326, Ocala, FL 34482 Verifies and keeps records of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Completes shipping documents, affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons, and determines method of shipment. Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers. Inserts items into containers. Nails covers on wooden crates, binds containers with metal tape, or in other acceptable ways, secures containers. Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers. Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Ensures parts have numbers and are stocked in required location. Routes items to departments and handles branch transfers. Communicates with branches to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of parts. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, on-load, off- load, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. Pulls and ships dirty cores and obsolete parts for shipment or scrap. Perform cycle counts of inventory and maintain bin locations. Relocates parts or parts bins as necessary. Receive and Review Orders:
Check and confirm parts orders or requests from mechanics, customers, or inventory management systems. Review specifications and ensure you understand the required parts.
Locate Parts:
Use inventory management systems or part catalogs to find the location of requested parts. Navigate the storage areas or parts yard efficiently.
Pull Parts:
Carefully remove parts from shelves, racks, or storage bins. Handle parts with care to avoid damage; use appropriate tools if needed.
Inspect Parts:
Verify the condition of pulled parts; check for any damage or defects. Ensure the parts match the specifications and part numbers of the order. Prepare Parts for
Delivery:
Clean parts if necessary and package them securely for delivery or shipping. Label packages with order details and any special handling instructions.
Update Inventory Records:
Adjust inventory records to reflect parts removed and ensure accurate stock levels. Report any discrepancies or low stock levels to the inventory manager.
Maintain Clean Work Area:
Keep workstations, storage areas, and tools organized and tidy. Dispose of or recycle any packaging materials or waste properly. Communicate with
Team Members:
Coordinate with other team members, such as inventory managers or mechanics, to ensure smooth operations. Report any issues or challenges encountered during parts pulling.
Perform Routine Maintenance:
Conduct regular checks and maintenance on storage equipment or tools used in the parts-pulling process.
Follow Safety Protocols:
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Assist with

EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
Computer literacy desired. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Ability to speak in English effectively before individuals, groups of customers, or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
