Job Summary:

The Warehouse Associate helps with the daily warehouse operations at the direction of the warehouse supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Confirms availability of items to be sent out by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items. Pulls material from shelves for packages for the crews. Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of material as needed. Operates forklift truck as needed, after passing training. Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports. Helps keep warehouse clean. Performs other related duties as directed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Able to show up to work on time Able to work as a team and independently. Able to stay until all tasks are completed Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology. Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures. Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory. Must be able to operate forklift

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. At least two years of work experience in a warehouse required.

Physical Requirements:

Walking and standing all day Repeat pulling and bending approximately 50% of time Lifting approximately 25 % of the time Able to climb ladders/ stairs to reach shelves in the warehouse Able to work in the heat and all types of weather in a warehouse environment. Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at times. Ability to move around the warehouse.
