Job Description

Comprehensive Training:

Receive 3-4 weeks of thorough training from our experienced training manager, Marcus. Learn about different metals, how to use the overhead crane, and operate sit-down forklifts.

Certification:

Get certified through Alro, even if you have prior experience. We ensure you are fully equipped to handle the job.

Start each shift with a team meeting to understand the expectations and goals for the day.

Key Responsibilities:
Material Handling:

Pull materials within the warehouse using a sit-down forklift.

Measurement Verification:

Measure materials to verify that you pulled the correct order.

Saw Operation:

Set up and program the saw, make the first cut, and take full measurements to verify dimensions.

Order Fulfillment:

Finish cutting the full order, deburr metals, clean metals, and package them for shipment.

Heavy Equipment Operation:

Operate heavy equipment including cranes, forklifts, and processing machinery.

Customer Orders:

Fill and prepare customer orders for shipment.

Quality Control:

Perform routine inspections to check for accuracy and quality, ensuring that the assembled products meet specifications and quality standards.

Troubleshooting:

Identify and report any defects or issues during assembly, and perform minor repairs as needed.

Essential Skills:

Experience in warehouse operations, lifting, forklift operation, and material handling. Ability to measure and verify dimensions accurately. Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs on occasion.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Experience within the metal industry is a plus. Experience with sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes is preferred but not required; we are willing to train. Ability to work Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. Entry-level experience is welcome.

Work Environment:

Work in a clean and organized warehouse setting. The role requires standing for long periods and maintaining cleanliness and attention to detail.
