Warehouse Worker/Receiving Lead SMP Nutra 12333 Enterprise Boulevard, Largo, FL 33773 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Worker / Receiving Lead to oversee the receiving operations within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the receipt of goods, and ensuring accurate inventory management. This role is critical in supporting our distribution center’s logistics, contributing to overall operational excellence. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Inventory Management:

Maintaining accurate records of incoming shipments, orders completed by Production, ensuring timely and accurate processing, and managing inventory levels.

Work Environment:

Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe receiving area, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Quality Control:

Performing quality checks on incoming shipments, and orders completed by Production, identifying and resolving any issues, and ensuring adherence to company standards.

Communication and Delegation:

Communicating clearly with staff, assigning tasks, and delegating responsibilities effectively.

Problem Solving:

Resolving issues related to receiving, shipping, and inventory management, and escalating issues to higher management as needed.

Collaboration:

Coordinating with other departments (e.g., Operations, Quality, and Production) to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Continuous Improvement:

Identifying areas for improvement in receiving procedures and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in merchandise. Read and interpret job orders. Prepares orders by processing request and supply orders, pulling materials, placing orders in delivery area. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards. Open crates and containers. Prepare finished jobs ready for freight deliveries. Wear proper safety equipment. Other tasks as assigned by management. Skills Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and practices. Experience in shipping and receiving operations within a warehouse environment. Proven ability to lead a team effectively, fostering a collaborative work environment. Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment, including forklifts. Understanding of logistics processes within a distribution center setting. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement initiatives. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks. Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs. Ability to read, write and perform math operations. Ability to multi-Task under pressure, Quick Thinker. Team player, able to work with others. Computer literacy is required! Knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, and/or other software required.
