Dockhand Gulf Harbor Marina 100 Circuit Road, Nokomis, FL 34275 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dockhand to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the loading and unloading of boats, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently at the dock. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties Operate rigging equipment and machinery safely and efficiently. Inspect cargo for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to supervisors. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dock area to ensure safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely operations and adherence to safety protocols. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment used in loading and unloading processes. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working in a dock environment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Mechanical knowledge is essential; experience with rigging is a plus. Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as required. Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team. Previous experience in a dock or warehouse setting is advantageous but not mandatory. Must be able to adhere to safety regulations and practices at all times.
