If so, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler! This role will be based out of our extrusion plant facility located in Fort Pierce. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure all raw material is unloaded, stored, and inventoried. The Production Material Handler is also responsible for grinding scrap products in the appropriate grinders and maintaining minimal regrind levels by supervising blending ratios. The Material Handler will have additional responsibilities of supporting the day-to-day operations on the Production Floor as well as being a backup PE Operator if needed.

Safety:
maintain a safe work environment through training, adherence to policies and housekeeping + Unloading and loading shipments related to raw materials and packaging materials while adhering to FIFO + Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information + Reviews shipments for quality and accuracy, reviews the accompanying documentation + Prioritizing the disbursement of materials being rotated into production following FIFO + Continuous inventory of raw materials and packaging including month-end audits + Transports and stocks all materials and supplies, including but not limited to the following areas: Production Floor, grinder area, and Materials storage locations + Work as a PE Operator if needed + Transfer of finished goods to designated holding areas + Undertake further duties as assigned Requirements + High school education or equivalency is desired + Forklift experience is required + Experience with auditing and record keeping of inventory is required + Verbal and written communication skills + Attention to detail + Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues + Possess strong communication and diplomacy skills + Ability to work independently + Organizational Skills + Multitasking skills Key relationships: Regular communication with Shift Personnel, Maintenance Team and Plant Management.
Working conditions:
+ An employee could be exposed to a moderate level of hazards at the worksite, such as moving machinery, repetitive motion, excessive noise, powered industrial vehicle fork/reach/bucket lift/other. + Scheduled work hours may be adjusted unexpectedly and without notice due to production needs. + Regular work in a non-controlled temperature environment + May on occasion encounter loud sounds and distracting noise levels. + Employee may be required to perform a considerable level of specific task such as prolonged standing on concrete, muscular action, body movements, working positions and visual attentiveness. + Employee will be obligated to wear protective eyewear, appropriate gloves, hearing protection, respiratory protection, safety shoes, and/or other. + Employee may experience progressive degrees of factors in the work process which may cause mental tension or anxiety.
