Full Job Description Warehouse Manager Introduction:
At The Porch Factory, we are committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship supported by organized operations and strong team leadership. The Warehouse Manager plays a key role in overseeing all warehouse and shop activities, managing personnel, and ensuring that day-to-day operations support timely and successful project completion. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Manager will lead the warehouse team, maintain organization of the facility, manage materials and schedules, and support installation crews through timely fabrication and preparation.
Core responsibilities include:
Warehouse Operations:
Manage all daily warehouse and shop activities Set clear expectations and duties for warehouse staff to ensure productivity Organize and maintain a clean, efficient warehouse layout Oversee fabrication schedules, including angles, straps, and other parts Monitor and track materials needed for upcoming installations Conduct spot checks to ensure quality, efficiency, and accuracy Coordinate and manage special projects as assigned Ensure end-of-day and weekly clean-up procedures are followed
Training & Development:
Provide guidance and training for apprentices and new warehouse staff Deliver feedback and coaching to improve team performance Foster a collaborative and supportive shop environment Maintain and update warehouse training materials as needed
Fleet & Equipment Management:
Oversee fleet scheduling and vehicle maintenance Coordinate vehicle usage for deliveries, installations, or project support Manage tools and equipment inventory and ensure availability Includes all other duties as required by management.

Qualifications:
Experience in warehouse operations or shop management Proven leadership and team management experience Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Familiarity with construction materials, fabrication processes, or inventory systems Valid driver’s license required Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Skills /
Knowledge:
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks Comfortable using inventory tracking tools or basic software Problem-solving mindset with a focus on operational improvement Hands-on knowledge of tools, materials, and fabrication processes Excellent verbal communication and leadership skills

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials regularly Comfortable working in a shop environment with physical tasks Able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
