• Job Description
• We are seeking a dedicated Production Worker to perform general labor duties including sweeping, shoveling, and general clean-up of the warehouse.

The role also involves operating a forklift throughout the yard and warehouse, assisting with weighing, sorting, and moving materials, and inspecting incoming scrap and cars. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and willing to cross-train in other positions as needed.

• Responsibilities
• + Perform general labor duties such as sweeping, shoveling, and general clean-up of the warehouse.

+ Operate a forklift throughout the yard and warehouse. + Assist in weighing, sorting, and moving materials. + Inspect incoming scrap and cars, advising customers on accepted and non-accepted scrap, and taking deductions as needed. + Cross-train in other positions and assist other employees as needed. + Complete other duties as assigned by the manager.

• + Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop outdoor environment while providing excellent customer service.

+ Minimum of 1-year previous general labor experience in heavy manufacturing environments and warehouses, preferably in the scrap metal or construction industries. + Ability to work standing or walking for up to 12 hours per day. + Adaptability to frequent changes in priority and ability to complete tasks safely and effectively without constant supervision. + Consistent attendance and dependability. + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. + Ability to work in extreme heat and be exposed to weather.
