Job Summary:
Responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of all items within a warehouse or storage facility. This includes tracking inventory levels, receiving and storing incoming products, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. They also play a key role in maintaining organized storage and retrieval of items, often utilizing computer systems for inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Tracking:
Monitoring and recording inventory levels, including additions, subtractions, and location within the warehouse.
Receiving and Storage:
Ensuring proper handling and storage of incoming products, verifying quantities and condition, and placing items in designated locations.
Discrepancy Resolution:
Investigating and resolving discrepancies between physical inventory and recorded inventory levels.
Order Fulfillment:
Assisting with the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders by locating and preparing items for shipment.
Reporting:
Generating reports on inventory levels, product movements, and other relevant data to management.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhering to safety regulations and warehouse procedures, including proper handling of equipment and materials.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
Cycle Counts:
Performing regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and identify potential issues.
Communication:
Collaborating with other departments, such as purchasing, shipping, and receiving, to ensure smooth operations.
