Serena & Lily is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our distribution center in Rincon, GA. Our Distribution Center plays a key role in delivering products that bring our brand vision to life. The Maintenance Technician is essential to maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment, ensuring the health and safety of our warehouse associates. A skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician will ensure the upkeep and maintenance of our buildings and common areas. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong practical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously while adhering to health and safety standards. Director of Facilities Responsibilities:
Building and System Maintenance Survey buildings regularly and report any repair needed for the mechanical systems to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Perform minor maintenance on electrical systems including replacing light bulbs, breaker panels, and ensuring electrical systems are functioning properly. Major issues are to be corrected by licensed electricians. Assist in the setup, maintenance, and minor repairs of ventilation, refrigeration, heating, and plumbing systems. Major repairs are to be corrected by licensed technicians . Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and request necessary repairs. Manual and General Maintenance Undertake necessary repairs such as fixing locks, replacing windows, and conducting basic carpentry and painting work. Handle minor tasks related to pest control, such as spraying insecticide, as needed. Perform general upkeep tasks like landscaping and other maintenance activities as assigned. Budget Management Assist with the adherence to the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective management of resources. Health & Safety Compliance Ensure that all maintenance tasks and repairs meet health, safety, and environmental standards. Maintain work areas in a safe, organized, and clean manner at all times. Foster a culture of cleanliness at all levels of the facility, holding all employees accountable for maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
Experience as a maintenance technician or similar role Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Working knowledge of tools, appliances, and devices commonly used in building maintenance.
Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities and manual dexterity. Ability to perform manual tasks. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
Confidentiality and Discretion:
Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity. Strong understanding of data privacy laws and company policies related to confidentiality.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a related field is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to work overtime as needed. Ability to follow strict safety guidelines and perform tasks safely. Flexibility with changes in shift, workdays and duties. Cross trained to cover warehouse functions as business needs change.
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Must be able to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, kneeling, and operating at heights (up to 35 feet).
