Diagnostic Solutions Laboratory is a dynamic and growing medical laboratory dedicated to delivering high-quality services to our clients. We are recruiting for a diligent and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiver to join our operations team and contribute to our continued growth and success.
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the accurate and timely receipt of incoming shipments and coordinating movement from the main warehouse to the auxiliary warehouses. This role involves checking deliveries against purchase orders, inspecting the quality of goods, organizing inventory in the warehouses, and stocking inventory. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, energetic and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving Shipments:
Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
Verification:
Compare received items against purchase orders and packing lists to ensure correct quantities and products.
Documentation:
Accurately record and update inventory records in the system.
Inspection:
Inspect goods for damage or defects and report any issues to the Operations Manager or the Purchaser since they issued the original PO (purchase orders).
Organization:
Organize and store received items in designated areas within the warehouse. Maintain a high degree of organization in all warehouses.
Labeling:
Properly label inventory items with necessary information.
Stocking:
Stock shelves and bins with inventory items, ensuring proper rotation and organization for all warehouse locations.
Replenishment:
Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as required. Proactively communicate stocking needs/requirements.
Coordination:
Work closely with the Supply Chain team to resolve any discrepancies.
Safety:
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Equipment Operation:
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided if necessary).
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus but not required.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking. Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Physical ability to lift and move heavy items up to 25 lbs. Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Certifications:
Forklift certification is a plus but not required (training provided if necessary).
Working Conditions:
This position works in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels. Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
