Warehouse Associate UAP Recycling 246 South Industrial Boulevard, Calhoun, GA 30701 Our Warehouse Associates are detail-oriented, organized, team players who receive, sort, process, and prepare orders for pickup by unpacking, picking, sorting, labeling, reloading, and wrapping products. Warehouse associates should have a good moral compass, as our team members are exposed to and expected to report any questionable or confidential information.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspecting inventory for damage and faults
- Communicating errors to relevant parties
- Ensuring products are stored in the correct location and in a good condition
- Receive and process warehouse products
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and facility policies
- Other job duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven working experience in a warehouse preferred
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Completion of background investigation and drug screening
- Good moral character
- Physically strong, agile and dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions
- Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lifting up to 50 lbs, on a frequent basis.
- Ability to stand and walk for an extended period, up to 8-hour shift
- Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Working in heat/cold.
