Warehouse Associate Job Description The Warehouse Associate is responsible for efficiently and accurately filling customer orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity. Responsibilities Receive material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses and verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list. Keep incoming orders stocked on shelves orderly and in designated area and report freight damage claims. Prepare branch orders from the warehouse and ensure that the correct number and type of product is being shipped. Verify that the merchandise to be shipped is correct. Operate an electric pallet jack. Load common carrier and company vehicles. Assist with other warehouse or branch duties as needed. Handle shipping and receiving of inbound and outbound shipments. Pull orders and enter information into the computer. Essential Skills Proficiency in picking and packing. Experience with general labor and packaging. Skill in using RF scanner and material handling. Ability to operate a pallet jack and perform order picking. Experience with inventory management and shipping & receiving. Additional Skills & Qualifications Training in both shipping and receiving areas. Ability to receive products and store on shelves by hand and with push cart. Experience in palletizing orders for shipment. Ensure accuracy of orders. Proficient use of RF scanner. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norcross, Georgia. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 – $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
