Warehouse Operator 2.6 2.6 out of 5 stars 100 Constitution Drive, McDonough, GA 30253 Job Summary The Warehouse Operator performs a variety of material handling, material movement, inventory, and warehouse functions. Essential Job Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential functions/duty satisfactorily. Supervisory Responsibilities N/A Operations Acquires and maintains skill certifications in order to properly use forklift, reach truck, and electric pallet jacks. Also, able to use tilt table, weight scale, battery exchange, stretch wrap or other equipment. Performs routine pre-operational check of forklifts daily and clean as needed in accordance with checklist Locates and distributes materials to departments as directed. Conducts inventory cycle counts as directed. Accurately prepares, inputs and processes various reports, paperwork or other administrative duties in a timely manner ether manually or with computer using programs such as TMM, Word, Excel and e-mail. Properly document all material movements. Examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and reports deficiencies or problems to supervisor or purchasing department. Must maintain regular and consistent attendance. Additional duties as assigned. Safety Comply with the EHS Policy and applicable regulatory and company EHS rules and requirements. Prompt reporting of any unsafe conditions, practices, or environmental concerns to supervision. Resolving potential hazards swiftly, thereby ensuring a safe work environment for all employees. Attend scheduled EHS trainings. Actively assist the organization in achieving or surpassing EHS goals. Identify areas for improvement in EHS practices and recommend enhancements to contribute to our commitment to a safe work environment. Demonstrates safe work habits by adhering to general safety procedures, including correct techniques for lifting and bending, maintaining proper ergonomics, using equipment correctly, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Ensures strict adherence to all safety procedures, including the enforcement of Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) procedures. Product Safety and Quality Follows Product Safety and Quality standards. Follows GMP’s regarding food contact packaging as it pertains to the employee. Follows IPC product defense standards and complies with all Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements. Minimum Requirements (include education, experience, special skills, licenses and/or certifications required.) One year of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to take direction and communicate. Ability to read and understand written documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to understand detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to troubleshoot problems. Ability to understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction. Ability to operate electric forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and reach trucks safely. Ability to work with computers or computer-based equipment.
