THIS IS A CONTINGENT POSITION DEPENDENT ON SUCCESSFUL AWARD OF CONTRACT. PAY IS STRONGLY DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE. ANTICIPATED HIRING IN FALL OF 2025.
Provide support to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Industrial Product-Support Vendor (IPV) contract, performing a variety of warehouse routine and specialized functions involving the processing of parts and materials required for program fulfillment. Perform shipping and receiving functions, pick and process orders, and perform inventory management tasks. Perform assigned Inventory Cycle Count and annual Physical Inventory Count. Verify documentation completeness and accuracy prior to final material or order processing. Interface with management, other Logistics Specialists, and Quality Assurance Specialists to coordinate assigned functions and ensure program fulfillment. Document assigned actions into the Management Information System supporting the contract; furnish data and reports as required; and initiate follow-up actions to ensure timely pick and preparation of items for delivery to the Depot. Process parts and material within the warehouse and update the respective Management Information System (Database), including picking and processing orders. Manage assigned warehouse inventory through cycle counts and annual Physical Inventory Count. Operate material handling equipment such as lifts, banding machines, driving a forklift, etc. Perform shipping and receiving functions. Ensure material is packaged for shipment IAW applicable military standards. Perform data entry and database processing for receipt, invoicing, and shipping of equipment/parts. Provide support and data as requested for administrative purposes and in support of the Quality Management System. Must perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of management. Education High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Associates degree is preferred. Experience A minimum of two (2) years’ warehouse logistics support experience with an established aerospace or global logistics company is preferred. Experience in all types of shipping preferred to include but not limited to hazardous materials, large freight, and overseas shipments. Licenses/ Certification/ Registration Current drivers’ license required Forklift Operator’s license preferred Proof of U.S. citizenship required Must have the ability to pass a background investigation and obtain a U.S. Government security clearance enabling access to various Government facilities and systems. Special knowledge, skills, & abilities A thorough knowledge of MIL-STD 2073, MIL-STD-129 and
MIL-STD-130
is a plus. This position requires excellent English language skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Must display thorough knowledge of document management and working knowledge of general business principles and practices. To perform this job successfully, the individual must show proficiency with computers, software, and general office equipment. Intermediate or higher proficiency using Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is preferred. Must have excellent organizational skills.
