Warehouse Associate/Crane Operator 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Jefferson, GA 30549 Job Overview The Warehouse person is responsible for pulling, filling, and cutting orders; receiving and putting away stock. The Warehouseperson is required to set up and operate machines according to specifications. This employee reads blueprints or job orders for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, tooling instructions such as fixture, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and cutting tools to be used. The Warehouseperson is required to observe the operation and verify conformance of machined work pieces to specifications, using measuring instruments such as fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometers. The Warehouseperson places material in storage or removes it from storage to complete customer orders and loads and unloads vehicles. Heavy equipment, including Cranes, Saws, Burners, Side Loaders, and forklifts, is in constant use during hours of operation. This is a full-time position with a typical work shift of 8 to 10 hours. Duties in this position are occasionally performed outside. Qualifications Proven experience as a Crane Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or manufacturing setting. Familiarity with operating RF scanners, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, cherry pickers, and other warehouse equipment. Strong understanding of heavy lifting techniques and safety protocols. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. Certification or training in crane operation is preferred but not mandatory. A commitment to following safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
