This role will involve general labor duties supporting the wrapping and packaging operations.

Responsibilities:

Operates all controls and instruments on a single head extrusion coating/laminating line. Monitors, records, controls, and is directly responsible for all machine conditions, raw material consumption, waste, and production rate. Keeps machine supplied with operating materials and monitors machine loading. Supervises and assists in roll changes, changeovers, and assists in mechanical repairs. Trains, directs, and is responsible for the activities of the helper/s assigned to the machine. Makes corrections for quality from Lab testing results, such as coating weights, bond, visual defects and treatment. Reads all orders before beginning setup and production. Current setup chart is obtained. If setup chart is not available, consult with supervisor or leadsperson. Follow all company procedures and operational guidelines. Responsible for maintaining the machine and area in a condition consistent with good housekeeping practices. Assures that the raw material supplied to the machine meets the specification of the customer’s order before running it. Responsible for assuring that the quality of material produced meets specifications of the customer’s orders and follows S.O.P. for quality. Responsible for accurate reporting on all paperwork associated with raw material consumption, return, and rejection. Responsible for examining the quality and appearance of each master roll before taking a sample to the Lab. Assures that someone is watching the quality of material running on the machine at all times. Operates in an efficient manner, maintains awareness of Job Safety aspects, and applies safe work practices at all times. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Ability to stand extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds Read work orders, and technical specifications Use basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations Strong attention to detail and reliable attendance Preferred 1-3 years manufacturing or machine operation experience Technical training or associate degree in manufacturing/mechanical technology Experience with plastic extrusion, injection molding, or continuous processes Computer proficiency for data entry and machine monitoring Forklift certification Physical & Safety Requirements Stand, walk, and work in hot environments for full shifts Manual dexterity for precise machine adjustments Follow lockout/tagout procedures and PPE protocols ABX Innovative Packaging Solutions offers a competitive compensation package, to include Medical, Dental, Vision, Short and Long Term disability, Life Insurance and 401(k) with company match.
