Onsite (No Remote/Hybrid) Assist in the coordination of all operations in the warehouse with the objectives of supplying materials to manufacturing in a timely manner, meeting customers’ shipping requirements, accurate inventory control. A Warehouse Specialist should have the capability to read and interpret process information; and understand the impact their actions have on the quality objective.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Shipping Process and review order for daily shipments. Review carrier matrix to establish pick-up date with carriers and appointment delivery date with customers. Verifies paperwork is correct for transportation routing. Perform daily audit of all orders processed; review picked and closed orders. Communicates shipping statuses as requested to supervisor. Receiving Review packing slips and process receivers. Document any shipping or other transportation damage and coordinate inspections with Quality Department for proper disposition. Retain and properly store records and documentation required for receipts and transactions. Reports discrepancies to appropriate parties. Inventory Control Performs inventory control duties including per supervisor’s request or as job duties requires. Clerical Data entry of shipment/receiving information and inventory information. Maintains accurate documentation, filing shipping and receiving documentation, as well as other documentation required in the warehouse process. Warehouse Duties This position requires forklift certification. Will operate stand up and sit-down forklift as required. Must be familiar with loading/unloading trucks and containers, placing pallets of material in designated racks, and picking material from racks located in tight spaces. Must be able to assist with pulling down materials for use, palletization of orders or materials, and or any other duties required to help the warehouse function in an efficient manner. Customer Service Responds promptly and professionally with inside sales team members, logistics (trucking) personnel and customer service members. Communication Communication is key in this position. Reporting information to supervisors and senior management as well as other departments is important. Education and/or Experience One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift certification or experience a must. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Familiar with inventory, shipping, receiving in the ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams. One-year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift certification experience is preferred. If not forklift certified, must be in first 90 days. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Forklift Certification must be acquired within first 90 days of employment. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to cold and hot temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
