Warehouse Cherry/Reach Lift Operator 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Covington, GA 30014 We are currently hiring skilled Cherry Pickers / Reach Lift Operators that have previously been Certified on these types of machine, along with order picking parts (some small and some bulky & heavy). The desired candidate will be a heavy lifter, with 4+ years experience Cherry Picker & Reach Lift Operating experience to pick parts/equipment & live in Covington or within a 10 mile radius of this location.
Skills & Experience Needed:
Safely operate Cherry Pickers & Reach Lifts (4 yrs. recent exp.) Order Picker RF Scanner Ensure completeness and correctness of all orders filled Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the numbers, sizes, colors, and quantities of merchandise and correct type of product is loaded and shipped Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with forklift machine Report quality issues on all products Ensure shipments are accurate and free of damage Tag any open and/or damaged boxes on racks for safety Use barcode scanning equipment to maintain computerized stock inventory Unpack received products, count, weigh and/or sort items Mark and/or tag containers with identifying information Communicate problems with forklift, structures, or materials Pick orders by reading pick tickets, move products to the shipping area and operate RF scanners during order picking Inspect and complete the pre-shift inspection for the forklift Operate forklift and reach truck equipment to maneuver products within the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner Maintain a clean and safe work environment Other duties as requested by Shipping Manager Assemble orders on pallet for shipment Carry or transport orders to staging locations
Qualifications:
Minimum (4) years of recent experience operating a Cherry Picker & Reach Lift 4+ years Order Picking Experience using RF Scanner Great attention to detail Career Minding (not looking for a job hopper or short term temp) Must meet Drug Screen and Criminal background requirements Must be flexible in working hours as some weekend work will be required
Hours:
6am-3pm are typical hours, but will need to be flexible in working hours as you may work on weekends as needed as this company.
Pay:
Temp to Hire/ $18.00 per hour / Paid Weekly Working conditions: Moderate walking, standing, and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to cold, heat, dust and loud noise. Push and pulling pallets and lifting products; Crouching is required up to 15% of the shift; Physical strength to handle up to 30+ pound object, frequently. Above average coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot and balance; above average endurance.
