Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Warehouse Slitter Machine Operator in Griffin, GA. In this machine operating role, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining a metal slitting machine for smooth warehouse operations. In a Warehouse Slitter Machine Operator job you’ll be responsible for: Setting up and preparing slitter machinery, ensuring configuration aligns with production orders and job specifications.
Performing continuous quality inspections, checking slit widths, burrs, edge finish, strip flatness, and coil integrity — taking corrective action during production.
Coordinating with maintenance and quality teams, reporting mechanical issues promptly and assisting in troubleshooting or line changeovers.
Threading material and initiating runs, monitoring tension, speed, and alignment of coils as they feed through the slitter.
Use of PPE (hard hats, hearing protection, safety glasses. What you’ll need: Previous machine operating experience
MUST have steel toe boots.
MUST pass a drug screening.
MUST pass a tape measure test and a math test.
MUST submit to a background check.
Must have manufacturing experience. Metal production is a PLUS.
Attention to detail.
Must wear PPE in warehouse floor.

Great starting pay depending on shift!
We offer 3 different shift hours, all in a Monday
- Friday schedule.
1st shift - M-F 6:00 AM
- 2:00 PM. (18.50 an hour)
2nd shift - M-F 2:00 PM
- 10:00 PM. ($19.00 an hour)
3rd shift - M-F 10:00 PM
- 6:00 AM ($19.
50 an hour)
