The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse by handling materials, ensuring accurate inventory management, and maintaining a safe working environment. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment. Duties Operate forklifts and cherry pickers to move materials within the warehouse. Load and unload shipments with precision, adhering to safety protocols. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are accounted for. Maintain accurate inventory records using a Warehouse Management System (WMS). Perform regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Participate in training sessions for new equipment or procedures as needed. Requirements Proven experience in a warehouse setting, preferably as a Material Handler or similar role. Proficiency in operating forklifts and cherry pickers; certification is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift. Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation requirements. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations is essential. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
