General Laborer Gentry & Holder Floors Frierson, LA Job Details Temporary | Temp-to-hire $17 – $20 an hour 15 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Qualifications Driver’s License Power tools Hand tools Mechanical knowledge Entry level Under 1 year Full Job Description Job Summary We are searching for someone who is dependable, not on drugs, can be on school grounds, and who has a valid driver’s license. This job will include everything having to do with hardwood floors, from installation and all maintenance to existing hardwood flooring. Training will be provided, so hardwood flooring experience is not necessary, but will help. Must be able to be out of town during the week for busy season. Our company offers all hardwood flooring services for the entire state of Louisiana and some of TX, AR, and MS. One must be able to legally enter all of these states. We mainly service gymnasium floors, so we spend a lot of time on school grounds. Applicates MUST have no prior reasons they cannot be on school grounds! Nor have any felonies. Responsibilities Have transportation to office Have valid Drivers License Read a tape measure Be trainable Have minimul skills with power tools Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Experience Previous experience in flooring is a plus Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues. Familiarity travel is a plus. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and riding sander is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
