General Laborer Tavares Industrial Wood Finishing Fall River, MA 02724 Position Summary Prep, sand, and mask off cabinets/wood products; Stain and pack customers’ finished cabinets/wood products for pick up; General shop duties. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities To perform this position successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to listen and communicate effectively with co-workers and customers/clients in an effort to respond to common inquiries or complaints. Must be able to work in a team environment and maintain an acceptable attendance record. Must be able to distinguish color. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand 100% of the time. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee is required to use repetitive motions. Lift, carry, and pour five-gallon buckets of material on a daily basis. Push/pull racks of materials throughout the finishing room. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, the ability to focus and see color. Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent, one to two years related experience and/or training in warehousing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
