Description Who we are looking for:
We are currently searching for a material handler based out of Bedford, MA. Reporting to Value Stream Leader the Material Handler will be responsible for operating machinery in the areas of coiling, packing and/or testing, using simple measurement instruments to check work, and completing paperwork required. What you’ll do:
Perform maintenance and housekeeping tasks including wrapping steel returnable skids, replacing propane cylinders, using barrel attachment, turning in finished goods inventory tickets ensuring the wrapping area is clean and organized ensuring the forklift is operational, and the work area is clean.
What you’ll bring:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Machine operation or mechanical skill set experience.
- Knowledge of steel or manufacturing processes desired.
- Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted Within 3 months, you’ll:
- Complete any required training
- Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
- Be well-versed in Atkore’s Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.
