JOB SUMMARY

Responsible to ship and receive all incoming and outgoing material in a safe and efficient manner. This includes the accuracy of shipping / receiving documents and packaging integrity for all products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Receiving Inbound freight is to be received, properly identified with part number, and routed to appropriate production location same day. Responsible for the movement of all inbound/outbound material on the shipping/receiving dock on a daily basis. This material movement needs to be in a timely manner to help keep dock clear of clutter and help the flow of material. Shipping Outbound freight is to ship in accordance with customer requirements. Process all shipments according to method of shipment (UPS small package, FED Ex small package, LTL freight, dedicated trucking and international shipments). Prepare all documentation required for various method of shipment (shipping label, bill of lading, commercial invoice, export documents). Accurately pick and package product for damage free shipping to include skidding, crating, and banding for safe transport in accordance with customer requirements.

standards Perform all duties in a safe manner; support all safety and environmental rules and environmental initiatives. Participate in Lean initiatives to provide ongoing continuous improvement ideas for products, process, and procedures Assist and train other employees when necessary Ability to obtain forklift (license) Ability to operate cutting saw Previous experience using shipping systems (FedEx, UPS, etc.), and ERP systems a plus Ability to learn how to properly handle overhead cranes safely Experience with operating handheld tools Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

HS graduate or equivalent Must be willing to work long hours, overtime and weekends as required Effective team player

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to perform moderate to heavy physical labor. Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force constantly to move object. Daily walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing for sustained periods of time, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
