Material Handler 2nd Shift Position Available In Franklin, Massachusetts

Material Handler 2nd Shift Judd Wire Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Groupcompany, is looking for a 2nd Shift Material Handler in our TurnersFalls, MA facility. Individuals will be responsible for a variety ofduties including: Performing required operations connected withmeasuring, inspecting, testing and re-spooling wire and cable inpreparation for shipping r its next operation.

Minimum Hourly Rate:

$19.81/hour, $2.00/hour 2nd shift differential Job Duties Work frommaterial movement documents, written and verbal instructions, andcomputer scanning device, records and forms. Transfer wire from onelocation to another as instructed by movement documents and/or writtenor verbal instructions either manually or fork truck. Ensure propertransfer of product. Maintain reels and pallets as needed for assignedoperations. Weigh and record scrap as required. Detect and reportdefective materials, malfunctioning equipment, unusual conditions tosupervision. Observe all safety rules and regulations. Maintainequipment and work areas in clean and orderly condition. QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED 1-3 month’s transferrable experience Abilityto work in a fast paced environment Be a team player, enjoy detailedwork and willing to learn Position requires knowledge of ordinaryarithmetic including decimals, fractions, and simple use ofspecifications together with use of adjustable measuring instruments.

Position requires moderate physical effort consisting of frequentlymoving average weights and continuous mental and visual attention torepetitive work, requiring constant alertness or activity. Workingconditions may expose employee to noise, fumes, dust, etc. PIV Trainingand certification will be completed after hire.
