Contract Ardent Staffing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support a dynamic R D team in managing the flow of critical materials for prototype builds. This fully onsite position is based in Waltham, MA and plays a key role in ensuring efficient operations in a fast-paced, hands-on engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and kit materials for prototype builds, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to build teams Transport components, subassemblies, and circuit boards between inventory, technicians, and test areas Return completed or unused parts to inventory, maintaining up-to-date records Track material availability, report shortages, and help resolve discrepancies Move materials safely using appropriate handling methods and equipment Support continuous improvement efforts in material flow and organization
Required Skills:
Experience in material handling, kitting, or logistics in an R D, prototype, or technical environment Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems like SAP or Salesforce for inventory tracking Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate standard material handling tools Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and teamwork mindset
