Description The Inn at Diamond Cove and Diamond’s Edge Restaurant are seeking an experienced Dock Hand to lead the marina operations for the upcoming 2025 season. The Dock Hand is responsible for overall operation of docks and all slip activity. This role will work closely with leadership and serve as the first person our guests interact with when arriving at the island. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe mooring of vessels, general operation of the docks, assisting boaters, maintaining a safe and clean environment throughout the harbor.

General Responsibilities:

Oversees the management of berthing, mooring, storage and servicing of boats within the marina, as well as seasonal marina rentals
Direct, move, assist and securely moor vessels to dock
Daily inspection and maintenance of docks to provide a clean and safe operation
Provides the highest level of service to all guests
Safely operates Marina owned marine and land vehicles
Ability to multitask while also remaining professional in all situations
First line of customer service for incoming boats
Assist with guest shuttles to and from the inn as needed
Responsible for daily operations of marina docks
Supervise renting of slips including transit activity and reservations
Ensures that Members and guests observe all marina rules and regulations
Follow safety and environmental rules and complete required related training
Other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

2-5 years Marina experience preferred
Ability to learn and utilize marina software system, prior experience with Dockwa a plus
Previous supervisor experience Ability to work safely around the water
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to swim
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Basic boat handling skills require
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work overtime as needed EOE M/F/D/V
