MS Board of Pharmacy:

Make work assignments, review receiving and distribution records for accuracy and appropriate inventory counts; provide oversight to ensure amounts and types of medication and the proper receipt, sorting, and recording of medication and warehousing SOPs are correctly followed. 2. Be primary person for identifying facility maintenance needs and coordinating with MSDH Property (i.e., conduct routine inspection of roof, building integrity, bathroom facilities, ceilings and tiles); test and coordinate facility generator per SOP and call vendor if repairs needed; work with warehouse equipment vendors 3. Review monthly inventory counts, review burn rates, create requests for reorder or recommend plan for return of product; Collect and report data of clinic stock distribution for CHD awareness and pharmacy CQI program. Will coordinate CQI with MSDH Pharmacy Standards and Compliance Director. 4. Will act as a backup to pharmacy warehouse technicians. a. Receives, unpacks, sorts and stores a variety of medication and supplies (including medications requiring refrigeration or special storage) for shipment and distribution. b. Processes county health department requests for medications and supplies c. Affixes required labels to medication bottle or container d. Record the type and amount of drugs issued to county health departments to have accurate drug distribution records. e. Enter information into the pharmacy computer f. Provides primary support to the MSDH Pharmacy Family Planning prescription program. Assists pharmacists with acquisition, preparation, and distribution of prescription drugs. Ids Medicaid, Medicare, and private third party payers. g. Processes prescriptions from FP Edit Report daily from 7:30 am•8:00 am. 5. Works in accordance with MSDH Policies and Procedures. Assists licensed pharmacist with other MSDH pharmacy programs or special projects as assigned and within the scope of either a warehouse manager or a pharmacy technician. a. Must be registered as a pharmacy technician with the MS Board of Pharmacy 2. Knowledge in cold-chain shipping of pharmaceuticals 3. Knowledge of complex pharmacy supplies (i.e. point-of-care tests) 4. Will operate a pallet jack and walkie pallet What you’ll need to be Successful Knowledge in cold-chain shipping of pharmaceuticals; Knowledge of complex pharmacy supplies (i.e. point-of-care tests) Preferred Qualifications Typically requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of experience.

Agency qualifications:
