Working at the Fort Bragg Ammo Supply Point (ASP), the Warehouse Specialist with Commercial Driver’s License (WHS w/CDL) for a variety of warehousing duties included, but not limited to, verifying materials or merchandise against receiving documents; receives, stores, stacks, or palletizes materials, and removes material from storage and prepares it for shipping. In addition, the WHS w/CDL will perform truck driver duties to include transporting loading and unloading ASP equipment as required. Responsibilities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Verifies material and merchandise against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages. Routes material and equipment to prescribed storage locations. Properly stores, stacks or palletizes materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods. Rearranges as necessary and takes inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage. Removes material from storage and prepares it for shipment. Establishes and maintains stock records and other documents such as inventory, material control, accounting and supply reports. Assists in taking inventories through physical count and records item count on inventory documents. Operating and maintaining forklifts and MHE related equipment. May operate hand or power tools in performance of warehousing duties. Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives. Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements.

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED

Standard office equipment associated computer applications.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as protective mask, safety vest, steel or composite shoes/boots, safety gloves, hard hat and eyewear in certain areas. Work will typically be in a temperature-controlled environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment. There may be times when an employee is exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

Must be able to operate standard office equipment, such as a computer, copy machine and printer. Must be able to lift a minimum of 45 pounds. Must be able to stand and walk within work sites 6-8 hours a day in performance of duties. Must be able to push, pull, carry, stoop, bend, squat and reach. Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with current Medical Examiner’s Certificate. Valid Driver’s License without restrictions.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

Must be able to pass the standard background check. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. NAC-I clearance required.

EXPERIENCE

Four (4) years or more experience in warehouse operations. Four (4) years or more experience in driving and operating forklifts. Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism.

SKILLS:

Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Ability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment. Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to interact at all levels. Other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
