Your Opportunity
Compensation $17.00 hourly.
The Warehouse Specialist receives, stocks and inventories all warehouse supplies. This position maintains warehouse in a neat and orderly manner, receives supplies, distributes supplies to customers and picks up supplies from local suppliers as necessary by performing the following duties.
Core Responsibilities
Receives all incoming freight and verify its integrity.
Performs local pickup of supply merchandise as necessary.
Monitors stock levels and notifies buyers of critical stock levels. Fills faxed requisitions on a daily basis.
Ensures that all items requested have the correct item number, data entered and charged to the correct customer. Performs monthly inventory audits and weekly audit verification at the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor.
Restock shelves from inbound freight.
Fills requisitions from walk in customers on a daily basis.
Assists all customers with supply needs. Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Conducts all transactions in a courteous professional manner.
Maintains a clean, orderly and safe warehouse environment.
Responsible for being in compliance with all environmental laws and procedures to which Smithfield Hog Production subscribes. Report all environmental issues immediately to their Supervisor.
Read and understand the company’s emergency notification process and will be responsible for reviewing that policy at their worksite.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
Must be able to lift >80 lbs.
Must have a valid Driver License with sound Driving Record.
Must have basic computer knowledge.
Must have a basic concept and understanding of Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel).
Forklift and electric pallet jack usage.
