In Raleigh – Durham, NorthCarolina, Lilly is constructing a new and cutting-edgepharmaceutical manufacturing plant. This plant will be one ofLilly’s most technically advanced manufacturing sites and willinclude highly automated material flows and automated materialstorage and retrieval systems. The Supply Chain will be highlyintegrated, minimizing inventory holding, utilizingreusable/returnable containers and pallets in closed loop systemdesign. The ILS (Intralogistics Systems) Warehouse Specialist willjoin the Warehouse and Logistics team supporting automated materialhandling processes in support of qualification and commercialproduction activities. The role will ultimately be considered thewarehouse operations SME (Subject Matter Expert) responsible forsupporting Intralogistics processes. In addition to providing dailyoperational support, the ILS Warehouse Specialist will support theILS Technical support teams in executing project related functionsrelated to the commissioning of processes within the warehouse andlogistics organization. The ILS Warehouse Specialist will alsoprovide functional guidance to ILS Warehouse Operators and MaterialHandlers in support of ILS functions when required. Support sitestart-up and provide subject matter expertise in warehouse andlogistical operations. Support ILS cross functional team, controltower operations and manufacturing team with all material movementsinside of the facility. Support and engage with control towersupport, automation technicians, manufacturing operations personneland Level I support team by executing required EWM systemtransactions. Ensure replenishment of production lines is occurringwith automated systems on-time. Partner with support teams forappropriate escalations and issue resolution. Maintain a safe workenvironment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSEcorporate and site goals. Quality experience with a safety firstand quality always mindset. Support inventory personnel to ensureinventory accuracy is maintained across integrated systems. Partnerwith warehouse and production operations teams with a customermindset working to improve operation uptime of the different areas.
Support daily process teams discussions regarding automation KPIsand equipment utilization. Follow all GMP, and other regulatoryrequirements. Participate in quality initiatives and audits.
Compliance to FDA, EMEA, DEA, OSHA, IDEM, and EPA regulations. Meetappropriate goals for performance improvement as defined by areaLeadership. Maintain learning plan at 100% current. Follow andexecute policies and procedures impacting warehouse activities.
Basic Requirements:
Associate Degree or equivalent experienceStrong Leadership Skills Strong interpersonal and communicationskills Demonstrated ability to prioritize and escalate effectively.
