Job Objective :
This position will work with the Warehouse Operations Manager on special projects and will also travel to various East Coast Metals locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Obtains products for counter sales orders and greets customers with their orders. Validates correct items and quantities on pick tickets and transfer requests with proper initialing and dating. Notifies Warehouse Manager of any discrepancies to leaving shipments. Helps other warehouse personnel by verifying correct items and quantities with proper initialing and dating Secures, stages and ships orders via LTL, UPS, and East Coast Metal Distributors delivery vehicles. Notifies Warehouse Manager of any discrepancies to leaving shipments. Unloads incoming inventory, documents its arrival and verifies items and quantities via Vendors Packing List with proper initialing and dating. Notifies Warehouse Manager of any discrepancies to incoming shipments. Submits packing list for entry of items into warehouse inventory. Incorporates inventory shipments into warehouse inventory. Becomes proficient and certified in Fork Truck Safety and Operations. Uses all material handling equipment safely and correctly. Possesses strong ability to use hand tools, air tools, and other construction equipment Travels to various branches for project implementation and to assist warehouse staff as needed Comfortable performing job duties at elevated heights up to 16 ft. Regularly lifts and/or move objects 10-50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 50 lbs Comfortable working in warehouse environment (varies according to weather) Must be willing to travel for extending periods of time

Numerical Aptitude:
Requires the ability to add and subtract totals, multiply and divide.
Form/Spatial Aptitude:
Requires the ability to inspect and measure items for proper length, width and shape. Must have sufficient visual acuity to properly place and align components.

Requires the ability to solve practical problems. Requires the ability to read maps.
Manual Dexterity:
Requires the ability to raise, manipulate, and maneuver tools, components and materials and handle a variety of items, equipment, control knobs, switches, etc. Must have the ability to use one hand for twisting or turning motion while coordinating other hand with different activities. There are occasional requirements to handle or feel objects, tools, and controls and reach with hands and arms. Must have above average eye/hand/foot coordination.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to physically lift equipment components, parts and machinery. Frequent standing, bending, stooping and/or walking are required. Must be able to use body members to work, move and lift or carry heavy objects, equipment or materials of up to 100 pounds. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for active work. Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and color vision as needed for driving and visual inspections of equipment and materials. Must have the ability to operate a forklift.
Physical Communication:
Must have the ability to talk (expressing and/or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words) and/or hear (perceiving sounds of nature by ear).
Working Conditions and Hazards:
Work is regularly performed in a warehouse that may be dimly lit with exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes and airborne particles. There is risk of occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and gases, outside weather conditions, extreme cold or heat and loud noises. Must have the ability to operate a Company vehicle and travel throughout the service area.
