Material Handler
- Job Description
- We are seeking a diligent and safety-conscious Material Handler to manage the loading and unloading of trucks, semi-trailers, and roll-off boxes for shipment to landfills or recycling centers. This role involves handling sealed drums and boxes containing waste from various sites.
- Responsibilities
- + Load and unload trucks, semi-trailers, and roll-off boxes. + Handle sealed drums and boxes with waste materials. + Conduct piece counts and utilize handheld scanning devices. + Read and process pick tickets accurately. + Wrap, palletize, and prepare items for shipment. + Lift items weighing 50-55 lbs by hand, with team assistance available for heavier items.
- Essential Skills
- + Experience in material handling. + Proficiency in unloading and loading tasks. + Ability to operate RF scanners. + Capable of performing general labor tasks. + Prior experience in palletizing and using pallet jacks.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Forklift operation skills (training provided if needed). + HAZMAT training required prior to starting.

- Work Environment
- Work at our Creedmoor location within a dedicated team of eight members. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:30/8 AM to 4:30/5 PM, with potential for overtime on Fridays and Saturdays. Please note, due to safety protocols, facial hair is restricted.
- Job Type & Location
- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Creedmoor, North Carolina.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $18.00 – $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
