In this role you will transport materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations within the manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities:
Receive, distribute, and store products as directed in designated, secure locations Prepare and maintain records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information Review shipments for quality and accuracy; review accompanying documents for accuracy Confirm shipping details or special instructions; expedite shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule Transport and load materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids) When problems arise, resolve issues with contractors or vendors Validate, approve, and forward invoices to accounting department Collect and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintain a safe and clean work environment Operate a forklift to safely and efficiently transport materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility. Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, or shelves, ensuring proper placement and securing of loads to prevent damage or accidents Safety load, unload, stack, and transport materials within the facility and outdoor yard. Operate industrial forklifts (10,000 lbs. capacity or greater) to transport heavy and oversized steel frames. Follow safety procedures and regulations at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting pre-operational checks on the forklift Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate activities, communicate any issues or concerns, and ensure timely delivery of materials to designated areas Perform other related duties as assigned
Education Requirements:
Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 3 years of experience operating forklifts with a 10,000lb+ lifting capacity, specifically for long and heavy steel products

Excellent verbal communication skills Ability to speak and read either English or Spanish required Strong verbal communication skills Ability to read blueprints preferred Efficient time management skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
