Trailers Material Loader Leonard Truck Outfitters Mount Airy, NC 27030 Established in the Blue Ridge foothills of South Carolina in 1963, Leonard Buildings and Truck Accessories is a manufacturer and distributor whose product lines include storage buildings, cargo and utility trailers, truck covers, truck and van accessories, carports, playhouses, chicken coops, and dog houses. Job Summary:
The Outdoor Material Handler is vital to the Trailer Team’s ability to ship and receive trailers in an efficient, safe, and timely manner. This role is responsible for preparing trailer loads to ship out, receiving in trailer loads, and always maintaining the trailer yard.
Job Responsibilities:
Preparing Outbound Loads Locate & Identify Trailers Using Load Sheets with VIN #’s Visually Inspect Trailers for Damage, Missing Parts, Items Inside, &/Or Other Issues Stack Open Trailers in Manner that Ensures Safe Transport & Delivery, Ease of Unloading at Destination, Load Maximization, & Minimizes Potential Damage Load & Secure Accessories Scheduled to Ship with Trailer Load Completes & Submits Required Paperwork Including Verification of Correct VIN #’s Stages Loads Properly – Single Pulls & Truck Loads Loads Trailers on a Wedge, Flatbed, Etc. in a Manner that Ensures Safe Transport & Delivery, Ease of Unloading at Destination, Load Maximization, & Minimizes Potential Damage Double-Checks Load is Secured & VIN #’s Match Assists in Hooking Up Single Pulls Receiving Inbound Loads Unloads/Unhooks Delivered Trailers Inspects for Damages/Missing Parts Notes Damages/Missing Parts on Packing Slip and Does Repair Form Checks Interior of Cargo Trailers for Accessories/Parts Stages Units for Check-In Once Cleared from Check-In, Move to Designated Location Maintain Trailer Lot Trailers Located in Designated Areas in a Clean & Organized Manner Stacking & Loading Supplies/Tools Properly Stored in Central Location Yard Free of Debris Forklifts Maintained & Put Up When Not in
