Full Job Description Job Summary:
Load shipments into and out of storage. Take exceptions on inbound shipments. Keep warehouse safe and clean. Work as a team member to take proper exceptions. Wrap and load furniture properly in containers. Handle 80,000 – 100,000 lbs. daily in the summer. Handle 30,000 – 40,000 lbs. in the winter. Keep warehouse claims down. Operate warehouse safely and efficiently.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Daily contact with van operators, operations personnel, local service providers and Customer service personnel. Frequent contact with customers and vendor’s representatives. Warehouse associates primarily work at one branch location, assisting with inventorying, loading/unloading and re-positioning clients’ stored merchandise. Warehouse associates may be asked to assist with moves on very short notice, depending on the day’s volume of work. In addition, move and warehouse associates commit to exceptional quality by safeguarding customers’ possessions and making sure they are kept, transported and received in the same condition that we received them. Warehouse associates will receive top-notch training, focusing on exceptional customer service delivery and the mechanics of ensuring a safe, effective and efficient move.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Takes exceptions on inbound shipments. Loads storage containers. Maintains neat, accurate paperwork. Must be able to lift and carry 50-100 lbs up and up to 400 lbs. in a team carry. Required to lift and carry furniture four to eight hours daily. Keeps assigned warehouse safe and clean. Keeps facility and grounds clean. Runs sweeper in and around assigned area. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required Education:
