As a midsized consumer packaged goods (CPG) food manufacturing plant, we are constantly seeking talented individuals to join our team and help us deliver high-quality products to our customers. One of the key positions we are looking to fill is a CDL-A driver who will be responsible for warehousing, shipping, receiving and driving duties. Job Description:

The CDL-A driver position at our midsized CPG food manufacturing plant is a critical role that involves a combination of warehousing, shipping, receiving and driving responsibilities. The primary duties of this position include: 1. Loading and unloading trucks with food products, packaging materials, and other supplies. 2. Using a forklift and drum grabber in the warehouse and inside of trailers. 3. Safely transporting goods between our manufacturing plant, off site warehouse and customer distribution centers. 4. Ensuring timely and accurate shipping and delivery of products to our customers. 5. Maintaining accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory levels. 6. Performing routine maintenance on trucks and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. 7. Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries. 8. Communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers to coordinate deliveries/pickups and resolve any issues that may arise. 9. Comprehending and completing required paperwork for our SQF Certification and SOP’s.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the CDL-A driver position at our midsized, candidates must meet the following qualifications: 1. Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record. 2. Current tanker endorsement or willing to obtain endorsement within 90 days of hire date. 3. At least 5 years of experience driving commercial vehicles, preferably in the food manufacturing or distribution industry. 4. Forklift experience would be very helpful. 5. Strong knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations. 6. Ability to lift and carry heavy loads, up to 60 pounds. 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 8. Ability to read and write very clearly and legible. 9. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. 10. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends if needed. 11. High school diploma or equivalent. 12. Must be a self starter and able to work on your own at times.
