Amazon Fulfillment Center Warehouse AssociateJob OverviewYou’llbe part of the Amazon warehouse team that gets orders ready forcustomers relying on Amazon services. Our fast-paced, physicalroles take place in a variety of areas including merch,make-on-demand, customer returns, Prime Now, and generalfulfillment. You will be selecting, packing, and shipping orders -in some cases, for our super-fast (2-hour or less) deliveryservice.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesSome of your duties mayincludeReceive and put away inventoryGet customer orders ready andpack them upLoad boxes into trucks for shipmentUse scanners to readbar codes on productsView prompts on screens and follow directionfor some tasksTroubleshoot problemsEnsure product meets qualityrequirementsOperate power industrial trucks (PIT) such as aforklift or pallet driver, and work at heights up to 40 feet.

Equipment training and certification are provided free of cost.

Youwill also need to be able to do:

Lift up to 49 poundsPush utilitycarts up to 60 poundsStand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, andreach during shiftsUse carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gearto move items aroundGo up and down stairs (where applicable)Work ata height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable)Adhereto strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standardsWhatit’s like at an Amazon Fulfillment CenterSafety. Your safety isimportant to us, so we provide protective gear. All teams sharesafety tips daily.

Surroundings. You’ll be operating and workingaround moving machines – order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turrettrucks, and mobile carts.

Activity. Some activities may requirestanding in one place for long periods, walking around, or climbingstairs.

Temperature. Even with climate controls, temperatures canvary between 60 F and 90 F in some parts of the warehouse; on hotdays, temperatures can be over 90 F in the truck yard or insidetrailers.

Noise level. It can get noisy at times. We provide hearingprotection if you need it.

Dress code. Relaxed, with a few rules tofollow for safety. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required andprotective safety footwear are required in select business units.
