Job Description
Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Clerk 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 23 Mileed Way, Avenel, NJ 07001 Prepare all labels, pallet labels (LP’s) and all shipping documents, such as BOL and packing slips, which includes both finished goods and raw materials. Ensure quantities and expiration dates are verified before shipping and receiving of any product. Enter accurate data in QuickBooks to match PO & packing slip. Enter accurate data for finished product count after S&R team verifies the quantities in-house. Prepare BOL for finished goods shipped to GSCS from Avenel to keep accurate storage capacity in the facility, as well as keep the track of the inventory in GSCS to ensure that all items are recorded in the proper way. Review outgoing order shortages weekly and notify Management/Customer Service as soon as possible in order to notify customers and avoid disruptions. Update the Shipping Manifest with weekly inbound/outbound orders that are scheduled. Report and record any damage in equipment and call for maintenance/service as needed. Contact vendors to confirm pick up of recycled materials. Keep an accurate, up to date raw material inventory and send the report to Supervisor and Procurement Manager daily. Assists with daily inventory control of raw materials and finished goods, as well as monthly cycle counts as needed. Report and record any damaged goods and assist with filling out proper destruction sheet as needed. Follow all company policies and procedures, as well as all GMP’s. High attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and urgency is required. Must be dependable and flexible. Must be able to work well with other employees and be a team player. Basic computer skills, including Excel, Word, email, etc. required. Job Description is subject to change according to business needs.
Requirements:
Must be able to speak, read, write and know basic math. Understand and follow Company Policies, GMP, Food Safety, Allergen Program and Sanitation Procedures (SSOP’s) Knowledge of using and handling measuring tools. Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment and near moving machinery. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Any containers, bag or item that weights more than 50 lbs must be lifted in teams of 2 and /or using helping aids such as carts or forklifts (trained personnel only) Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as stand, walk, bend, lift, kneel, crouch, reach, stoop, squat, climb stairs throughout the shift. Must be able to work in cold, wet, and/or humid areas (10-40 Fahrenheit degrees), hot areas (80- 100 Fahrenheit degrees) at times and resist strong food odor such as onions. Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Must be tech savvy:
handheld scanners. Forklift Certification and experience required. Must handle allergens and chemicals. Basic computer skills, including Excel, Word, email, etc. required.
