Associated Fire Protection is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and on time. Associated Fire Protection, founded in 1947, is a leader in fire protection and life safety. We have offices located through New Jersey and New York, as well as a branch in Utah. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our growing team. While previous experience in fire protection is a plus, we are also looking for people looking to make a change to an industry that is dedicated to protecting lives and property. Essential Functions- including but not limited to: Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality. Organize and store products in designated areas of the warehouse. Prepare and package orders for shipment. Assist with overseeing inventory management. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts. Assist with deliveries, and the loading and unloading of trucks. Maintain shipping and tracking logs. Provide counter service for retail store. Check, verify and fill customer orders. Keep the warehouse clean and organized daily. Assist in general maintenance as needed. Perform general multi-departmental functions as needed. Other job specific functions may be required depending on level. General Functions This position includes a lot of interaction with customers and coworkers. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively and enjoy collaboration with others. The successful candidate should read and be aligned with company’s mission statement, vision and values. Requirements:
Qualifications, Experience and Education- including but not limited to: Proven warehouse experience is required. Must be able to obtain any licenses or certifications as required. Ability to operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment is required. Perform simple tasks independently. Ability to lift heavy objects. Excellent customer service skills. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Computer, phone and tablet literate. Ability to perform physical and mental functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Well organized, self-motivated, flexible and a team player. Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. Ability to work on Job sites that may include construction sites and other locations where personal protective equipment will be required, The position has frequent periods of stress.
