- Responsibilities
- + As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties: + Offloading of UPS/FedEx, Truckload Shipping (TL) and LTL (Less -Than -Truckload Shipping) freight, sorting of freight, receiving freight into WMS, put away freight, order pick small packages, cycle counting, physical inventories, safety, and housekeeping.
+ Will follow all Akima & SUVI Global Services Safety rules and requirements. + Position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. + Additional Duties as a
Warehouse Specialist II:
+ Loading Ocean containers. + Operating floor scrubbing machine. + Operate yard container switcher. + Placarding containers. + Pin locking containers. + Performs all other job duties as needed.

Performance Measurements:
- + Expected to receive a minimum of 100 packages or 100 boxes per day. + Expected to receive one single receipt in 3-5 minutes. + Put-A-Way Process – expected to put a single piece of freight away within five minutes.
- Additional Performance Measurements for
Warehouse Specialist III:
- + Load containers in timely manner based of level of difficulty. + Minimum of 3 containers a day. + Efficiently move containers from yard to dock doors. + Performing daily yard checks. + Pin locking all loaded containers to prevent theft. + Maintain and report any issues with Switcher.
- Qualifications
- + US Citizenship or Green Card.
+ Ability to obtain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) security clearance/background check. + High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of experience + Strong command of the English language both verbally and written. + Basic math skills. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office, computers, printers and scanners. + Proficiency in using a tape measure and using a banding tool. + Orientation to detail. + Proficiency in using a stretch wrap machine, handheld stretch wrapping. + Ability to operate a manual pallet jack. + A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and meet the demands of our customer and management. + Ability to lift/carry/push up to 100 pounds, stand for long periods of time, bend, squat, stoop, crawl, crouch, lean, kneel, climb, sit, and balance. + Specific vision abilities required for this job include use of a standard laptop, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus. + 2 years of experience in forklift loading and loading containers. + 1 year experience in switching or towing.
